Jack F. Browder
President & CEO
Mr.
Browder has 30 years of experience developing, building and operating
hydrocarbon plants and power plants. Prior to joining NSGS in 2004, he was Chief
Operating Officer of eCORP, a privately held Houston based company that
develops, owns, and operates underground natural gas storage facilities. Prior
to joining eCORP in 2001, Mr. Browder was president of KBR Development
Corporation, a joint venture between Kellogg Brown & Root and Mitsubishi,
established to develop hydrocarbon related plants on a limited recourse, project
financed basis. Prior to joining Kellogg, he was with Brown & Root where he
started his career in the mid 1970’s. At Brown & Root, Mr. Browder served
in numerous executive, sales, and project management positions. He was the
president of Brown & Root’s Power Business Unit in the early 1990’s.
Prior to that time he was head of worldwide sales for Brown & Root’s
Petroleum & Chemical Business Unit. He spent over ten years managing several
multi-hundred million dollar projects. Mr. Browder has an MBA and a BS in
Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas.
Vincent J. Schager
Chief Financial Officer and Vice President
 Mr.
Schager’s experience includes over 25 years of progressive management
responsibility f or businesses engaged in materials processing, manufacturing,
contract operation and
management of utility infrastructure. Specific areas of
application include municipal and industrial outsourcing; manufacturing,
transportation and environmental services. Mr. Schager has also been engaged in
and led M&A and business development activities relating to these fields, as
well as gas storage and power production. Mr. Schager earned undergraduate
degrees in Chemistry and Geology from Cleveland State University and an MBA from
Kennesaw State University.
Malcolm Jacobson
Vice President - Asset Management
 Mr.
Jacobson has over 20 years of experience in the North American energy industry
in the
areas of strategic planning, asset management, business development,
market analysis,
and government affairs. He has a track record of accomplishment
in deregulated energy markets that includes managing a successful merchant
business for a major interstate pipeline and originating one of the first
“aggregation” transactions for retail power. Mr. Jacobson has a strong
background in advanced energy technologies and was instrumental in launching a
successful business incubator for solar, wind, and fuel cell ventures. He is
also credited with formulating the original “Green Tag” concept that has
become the industry standard for tracking and trading environmental attributes
of power generation. Prior to joining NSGS in 2004, Mr. Jacobson held various
technical and commercial positions including co-founder and Principal of
Strategic Clean Energy, LLC, Vice President of Market Development for FuelCell
Energy, Inc., Director of Business Development for Azurix North America,
Director of Commercial Development for Enron Energy Services, Senior Business
Economist for Transco Energy Company, and Staff Engineer for The Coastal
Corporation. Mr. Jacobson has authored numerous articles and has been actively
involved in legislative and regulatory proceedings in eleven states. He holds a
B.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA
from the University of Houston.
David R. Roth
General Counsel and Vice President
Mr.
Roth has practiced corporate and energy law for more than 15 years, including
mergers, acquisitions and dispositions; commercial law; corporate, project and
structured financings; private placements; development, leasing, construction
and management of energy related projects; equity relationships, mezzanine loans
and other hybrid debt-equity transactions; and debt workouts. Prior to joining
NSG, Mr. Roth served as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel of Dynegy
Inc., where he headed the Finance and Corporate Transactions legal group, and as
Senior Counsel to Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP in its Houston office.
Mr. Roth received his Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from
the University of Michigan in 1988 and his J.D. in 1991 from the University of
Texas School of Law. He is a member of the American and Houston Bar Associations
and the State Bars of Texas and California.
David A. Kellermeyer
Chief Environmental Officer
 Mr.
Kellermeyer has over 30 years of professional experience in the environmental
sciences,
including more than 20 years devoted to environmental permitting and
compliance support to
electric power plants. He has worked on environmental and
land use permitting for power plants and waste-to-energy facilities throughout
the United States and overseas. He has held management positions with
environmental consulting firms as well as with independent power producers.
Prior to joining Northern Star in 2004, he participated in the permitting and
development of electric power plants as an Environmental Director at Enron North
America and Dynegy. Mr. Kellermeyer is a co-author of the “Standard Handbook
of Power Plant Engineering”, published by McGraw Hill (Second Edition, 1998).
He holds a BS in Meteorology from Purdue University and an MS in Meteorology
from The Pennsylvania State University.
Joe M. Stevens, Jr.
Vice President - Human Resources & Development
Mr.
Stevens has over 40 years experience in successful executive roles. Prior to
joining Northern Star Generation he spent six years as a Employee Relations
Attorney and as a Independent Management Consultant. From 1961 to 1996 he was
with Brown & Root, Inc., a multi-billion dollar international engineering
and construction company where he served as Vice President of Employee Relations
and Corporate Affairs, and as an Attorney. Mr. Stevens established an
outstanding record for success in managing complex and demanding challenges in
various areas of the corporate structure. He directed and coordinated the
corporate administrative and human resources efforts on a worldwide basis. He
demonstrated the ability to develop and implement strategic business
initiatives, which had a significant positive contribution to overall
operational results and corporate profits. Mr. Stevens has a Bachelor of
Business Administration from the University of Houston and a J.D. from South
Texas College of Law.
